My name is Yves Damin and I am a graphic designer. I have been working free lance since 2002, so I work with consultants in communication and advertising agencies. I create and produce most of my artwork in my studio located just east of Paris and I somtimes work in my clients' offices for certain assignments.

I studied Graphic Arts for 5 years, at the Atleiers de Sevres and ESAT (Ecole Supérieure des Arts et Techniques), in Paris where I learnt the general basics of graphic design, including typography, illustration, photography and multimedia.
After graduating with merit, I put into practise what I had learnt during my military service where I was able to work as a graphic designer at the Army Headquarters in Paris. At the time, French national service was still obligatory.

After completed may military service, I started to work for a communication and advertising company, FDA (Boulogne-Billancourt), as a junior AD.
It was a very good learning experience : I stayed there for 4 years, until I became AD for the multimedia branch.

Sadly, due to the internet crisis and the repercussions of the September 11th 2001, the activity of the agency stopped.
Therefore I decided to go free-lance, providing my know-how and experience to my own clients.

I mainly work for industry, and especially for car manufacturers, creating products for their professionnal / internal communication (BtoB) using several supports : ads, leaflets, newsletters, catalogues, ...

I have several kinds of clients :

You want to communicate about your company, a product or an event.
I work in collaboration with the Marketing or Communication service of your company to study what you need and respect your corporate identity.
Based on your brief, I will rapidly propose several types of creation (usually three types), and I will follow through the process from creation to printing.

You need a pro-active, polyvalent free lance graphic designer to work on your creations.
I put my knowledge and my savoir-faire at your disposal to produce high quality work at very short-notice if necessary.
You can visualise jpg or pdf files to control the project and save time on it.
I can work as part of a team with a writer, photographer or illustrator if you have specific needs.

You need your own logo which you will use on your visit cards, letterheads or website.
I can design your visual identity and help you to create special products, such as invitations, mailings and greetings or any other items you may need.
